5 Keys to your Backbend
Workshop combines Asana Practice and Lecture
Our spines are incredible combinations of strength and flexibility. Budokon Yoga explores band bends as both dynamic martial arts transitions and static yogic expressions. In this workshop we will explore the five categories of action involved in developing a versatile back bend though. Traction – Where the body is bending in a way which developed space and comfort in the joints. Leverage – Where the strength of the arms or legs are used to deepen the backbend, and Contraction – Where the muscles on the back contract to overcome gravity allowing the front body to lengthen. Transition – Where the body must support itself structurally, while moving from belly up to belly down positions. Flexion – Where a bending movement around a joint can be the difference between comfort, compression or injury.
Budokon® Love Warrior
Workshop combines Asana Practice and Lecture
Love without commitment is simply infatuation. Love without passion is simply dedication. Without nurturing, even the best love can fade and die. As Warriors we cultivate the courage and heart to change what we can. As Yogis we cultivate an understanding and acceptance of what we cannot. As Humans we learn to discern the difference between the two. Through Budokon® we learn to hold space for long lasting love as yogis, warriors and human beings.
This workshop is perfect for any person, couple, friends, or family interested in deepening their understanding and capacity for a long lasting loving relationship.
Cameron and his partner Melayne will guide you through a class that contrasts dynamic movements with restorative, healing asanas.
